Parent Workshops

The GVHS Counseling staff believes that one of the best ways to support our students is to create partnerships with parents. With this in mind, we have created a series of Parent Workshops on a variety of topics we think will be useful to families. We are continually revising our presentations and adding new ones, so if there is a workshop topic you would like us to consider, feel free to contact the Counseling Office at 209-325-1824.

The GVHS Counseling Department is just one of several groups reaching out to help parents. While our department offerings will tend to be focused on academic topics, other staff members and service providers offer parent workshops on a variety of topics like parenting and personal issues, coping with mental health issues, adult education, and Migrant Education services. These workshops will typically be announced through the Parent Square system, delivering messages to parents by phone/email/text.
